Authorization

Investment firms require authorisation from the FMA to take up business activities.

The application for authorisation must be submitted to the FMA in writing in German, and originals of the accompanying documents must be submitted in German or English. In justified individual cases, the FMA may also permit another language (Article 6(3) WPFG). Applications for authorisation may be submitted to the FMA in physical or electronic form.
